Permali has a unique combination of properties – good dielectric strength, high strength / weight ratio, resistance to wear and fatigue, good thermal insulating properties – and it can be machined to an accuracy approaching that achieved with metals. It is an outstandingly successful material and is available in the form of sheets, rings, rods and machined parts.

Permali is used extensively in the Cryogenic market for Pipe Support Blocks, Cold Shoe Blocks and Tank Support Blocks both for land storage tanks and ocean vessels. Permali is approved by all the major ship Classification Societies and we work closely with leading universities, such as Southampton, for independent testing where necessary.

Permawood is made to the latest International and IEC Standards and is approved for use by many of the leading transformer manufacturers

Typically, Permawood is used for Transformer End Rings, Beams, Yolk Clamps, Lead Support Bars and general Insulation Support Blocks.

The material has been used in a wide range of applications over the years; in the Textile Industry, for Propeller Blades, for Underbody Skid Boards on racing cars, and for Jigs and Tooling in the Aerospace and Automotive industry.

Jabroc offers high stability, increased strength, stiffness and improved life when replacing hardwood, and on the other hand, reduced weight, shorter machining times, is non-sparking and non-conductive when replacing metals. Jabroc has half the strength of steel at only one fifth of the weight.

Jabroc is an established product and is in use world wide in all racing series including F2, F3, Formula E, F4, LMS, ALMS, Formula BMW, Formula Renault, Formula Ginetta and others.

Standard sheets of size 2000 x 1000 mm, from 4 mm thickness and upwards, are available from stock both in the UK and at our sole appointed US Distributor, Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies Inc. Other sizes are available to order and our comprehensive CNC machining facilities allow us to produce complex custom parts to suit specific customer requirements.

Jabroc ‘N’ has been used extensively for over 40 years without any known deterioration of properties. Typical applications include glovebox shielding, internal vehicle shielding, transport stillages, fuel flask shielding, room and wall shielding, bespoke shielded drum storage facilities and for shielding various project specific fuel handling and processing equipment.

We can also offer advice on shield design using our Jabroc ‘N’ and a full CNC machining service with assembly with other shielding materials if required. We also offer a full machining service for Premac Lead Acrylic Resin.

Typical applications include electrical duct covers, flooring applications and uses in the marine industry for insulation/flooring in engine rooms. Permatred is also used in Defence applications where non-metallic high wear materials are required.
